Do I need to uninstall the old agent to install a new agent?

Hi,

I am in the process of upgrading my agent... do I need to uninstall the old agent, then install the new one or will the new agent install over the top of the old one?

Can you tell me what happens to the old agent on all devices?

There are two ways to update your agents.

1. Via an automated script runner ( see How do I deploy Agent to Multiple computers )

2. Via the manager ( see How do I deploy Agent to Multiple computers )


In either case, the agent will install the new version over the top of the old version
