E2P is a way to assign a project number to a length of time worked on a project.
For example you come in at 8:00am and open AutoCad (or some other piece of software) to start work on a project. You work for an hour or so, then shut down that project. At this point you would have to manually track the time you worked on the project by writing it down or recording it some other way. But wait... did you work on that project for an hour or was it an hour and 15 minutes? Maybe you worked on it for 2 hours and 45 minutes? Can't remember? What was that project number again? Where did I put that information?
With E2P when your software that you work on projects with starts, E2P allows you to select (or enter) a project number. From that point forward, however long it takes for your to complete your work on that project, be it an hour or two hours and sixteen minutes, that time is automatically allocated to that project.
There is no need to look at the clock for start and stop times, no need to try to remember how long it took or to record the time. Project numbers are also presented to you so you don't have to remember those either.
E2P takes care of the nitty-gritty details of the hours that you work and allows you to associate project numbers to that work - freeing your mind to focus on the task at hand.
